These words for teenagers, spoken by John Tapene, reach me on a personal level. His advice speaks to me in a way that no newspaper clipping has before. He advises us to grow up and start taking responsibility for our own actions, claiming that the world does not owe us anything but rather the other way around. We mustn't rely on others for our entertainment or to make life meaningful but rather we should put meaning into the way we live our lives. I feel like a new person having read this clipping.
